I just got done watching the movie Martian Child for the second time in just 2 days. My son just loves this movie. And why not. Great actors such as John Cusack, Amanda Peet, and Joan Cusack. Also staring as Dennis aka the Martian Child (Bobby Coleman). They all make this a remarkable film, and even more so a great family film, I highly advise checking this movie out as well as music from GUSTER. ~Peilo

A: We write about what we know. We’re stenographers…we transcribe life and put a little melody under it.*

A: yes

Q: You guys seem to be on the road all the time. What do the insides of your refrigerators look like?

Q: Okay, say you guys are on the road and you finish playing a show and your shirt is drenched with sweat. Where do you put that shirt? Please give individual answers.

A: Adam will hang the shirt in the dressing room or the hotel room until it dries. Sometimes he clips it in the window of the van and leaves it flapping as we drive. Ryan will wear the shirt to bed and when he wakes up in the morning it is usually dry, and good to wear again that night. If it has been a particularly sweaty show, Ryan might shove the wet shirt into his laundry bag and worry about it later. Unable to come up with a suitable solution for this problem, Brian will begin playing gigs topless this fall.

Q: What kind of music do you guys listen to while on the road?

A:There are very few records that all three of us agree on. But here are some selections currently in the collective Guster CD player:

Q: How can I get my hands on some classic “GUS” merchandise?

A: For those of you confused here, our band used to be called GUS, while we were in college at Tufts University, but we changed it in 1995. There are some GUS stickers and shirts locked away in the Guster archives basement in Somerville, Massachusetts, but you can’t have any of them. Now and then a GUS – ‘Parachute’ disc makes an appearance at Disc Diggers (used records) in Somerville for a respectable $3.99.

Catalina Pasta Salad~ Recipe by Peilo

Super simple. First you boil the noodles, (well of course you do that) anyways be careful that the noodles are fully cooked because bowtie noodles take a tad longer then say an your average elbow noodle. This is Very important. So because of this it’s going to be wise to test a few before pulling them from the boiling water. that is unless u like hard pasta

OK Once the noodles have the right firmness, strain on top the frozen peas. This will help thaw the peas perfectly. Next, of course rinse the noodles. Do this quickly with cold water to again firm them up. (we likem firm) Pour into some type of dish or bowl to mix. Now add the remaining ingredients

Once its all mixed, your going to want to let this set and thicken up.

Ingredients

16 oz Bag of Bowtie Noodles

16 Oz Bag of Frozen Peas

1/2 Cup of Mayo

1/4 Cup of Catalina Salad Dressing

10 Oz Can of Premium Chunk Chicken

additionally you can add chopped onion or celery to add flavor
and crunch. Now some salt and pepper to spice,
and there ya have it ~ Catalina Pasta Salad (with Peas and chicken)

This is a great album. I have listened to it non stop and I’m amzed at the quality of unknown music out there. I stumbled across this site by accident one day searching for something, of course I don’t remember what I was searching for, I’m nerdy I’m always googling something.

But anyways one day I come across this site and couldn’t help but to start downloading the tracks…they were free, who wouldn’t. Then I played one and was in amazement. This was some good tuneage. Music, Fresh, and new, and sounded like nothing I had heard before. A real pleasure. Relaxing, subtle, mellow and ambient with some very unusual Melody’s and rhythms.
